On a regular basis we provide:

RETREATS

Available for Christian team-building, church groups, ministries & spiritual retreats. Come to our “Monastery” for a few days or weekend retreats, or book your own guided or silent group retreat. Or, host your own Christian-based group retreat here, with our Spiritual guidance or arrange your own Pastor or Retreat Guide.

GUIDED RETREATS

Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Guidance Counselling – Instructions, Spiritual Talks, Confessions, Sermons, Preach the Word of God, Spiritual Reflections, Conduct Spiritual Meditations.

CARMELITE SPIRITUALITY

Discourses on Carmelite Saints, Scriptural background of Carmelite Spirituality, its Charism, teaching on prayer and contemplation.

APOSTOLATE

Reaching out to neighbouring Catholic Parish Communities – to administer the Sacraments, preach the Word of God, Confession, Holy Mass, conducting Marriages arranged with permission of the local Pastors.

SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

Use ‘The Stations of the Cross’ – on site.
Retreat Groups, Visitors and Guests are welcome to follow our outdoor Stations of the Cross at ‘Carmel Hill Monastery’ leading to the top of our hill, where you may sit in silence, meditate – contemplate on the mystery of the Cross of Christ, spend time in stillness, and pray.

Our team…

Father Vincent D’souza
Superior

Fr.Vincent hails from the little town of Gangolli, kundapur, in Karnantaka, southern India. He is the fifth son of late Valerian D’souza & late Agnes D’souza, and he has one sister.

Responding to God’s call, Father Vincent joined the Discalced Carmelite Order in 1985, and after four years of seminarian training, he made his simple Religious profession in 1989.

He graduated with Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Philosophy and then pursued his four years of Theological studies at St. Joseph’s inter-diocesan Seminary, Mangalore. He was ordained a priest on April 23rd, 1997.  He completed his Master of Arts in Sociology.

One of his appointments was in the Middle East, in the kingdom of Bahrain, where he served for nine years as an Assistant Pastor.  In 2010 he returned to India and shortly thereafter he was appointed as a parish priest of St. Antony’s Church, where he worked for about seven years.

He arrived in Canada on July 13th, 2017 and served as Assistant Pastor at Edmund’s Church in the Archdiocese of Vancouver, British Columbia for two years.  Beginning in 2019, he was a pastor for St. Mary’s and St. Ann’s Parish Hagersville/Walpole in St. Catharine’s Diocese, Ontario.

In 2023, he was appointed as the Superior of the Little Flower Monastery at Carmel Hill, Deroche, B.C.
